A leisurely start to the day, check out and then we have to catch the train back to Tasch, pick up our car and on the road again.
Today we drive to Crans Montana and play golf, quite exciting as we haven't played for 2 weeks now. The navigator tried to take us up in a vineyard on a very very narrow road, John called it early and reversed back down - I think it would have been rather treacherous. We needed to climb 1,000m to reach Crans Montana, so more switchbacks and ear popping.
We arrived into Crans Montana at about 12pm and went straight to the golf course, but there was no parking as they are busy setting up for the Omega Swiss Open which is being played next week. All the club parking is closed due to the grand stands and infrastructure for the Swiss Open. So we checked into the hotel early, oh my oh my - our hotel is a treat. We are staying at the Guarda Golf Hotel and it is FAB! Car sorted and they dropped us off at the Golf course - where we are hiring clubs. So we sort out our clubs and at the caddy master's hut there is a screen with the groups and their tee times - very well done. There is a lady talking to her husband and when I went to look at the board - they said am I Sharon and I said yes, she said you play off 2. She was concerned that she would put me off - anyway Benedicte and Stefan (our new friends) were absolutely wonderful and we had a great time. It was Stefan's birthday and he was having a cracking day - he shot 43 points.
The golf course was fabulous and the views unbelievable.
