After our lovely lunch, we hit the road, with an almost full charge from the overnight household plug-in, thanks to Judy's plug adapter thingy! The drive up is about 3.5 hours, through Brisbane and north past Sunshine Coast. No stops were required and we arrived just after dark. Our apartment is very nice and centrally located right on Hastings Street. It is large, normally a 3 bedder but with 2 rooms locked off. After the big lunch, it was a light meal, and off to bed.
John was awoken by the storm that descended on Noosa in the middle of the night - I once again slept through the whole thing! As a result of the storm the golf courses have carts on the cart path only, which is a pain. We are golfing at Noosa Springs which is booked and paid for and not refundable, it is raining and at times pretty heavy, so we are doubtful about playing. Being the optimists we are and having no chance of a refund, we go to Noosa Springs anyway, and being the only idiots out there - they were pretty relaxed about us waiting for the rain to clear. We did venture out and probably had the best part of the day as the wind came up pretty strong. We got a bit wet, but had a mostly dry day out. We were very glad that we did it. Then we went shopping for groceries and a car charge topup.
The golf was nothing to write home about, I was quite stiff in the arms - must be those walking poles!!! John had some great holes and some interesting ones. We were supposed to play Peregian Springs on Tuesday, but the weather was a bit iffy and my battery wasnt charged and we didnt want to use the carts again, so we delayed golf for the day. I had a massage instead. Dinner out and the Movies. Watched Mission Impossible Part 1... As I was waiting for John afte rthe movies, a group of 4 elderly people walked out of the cinema and one guy says "its just not right, how am I going to remember all that for when part 2 comes along, its just not fair!"
We are off to Peregian Springs for golf this morning, postponed from yesteday. We are walking as carts on cart paths only - didnt realise how long some fo the green to tee walks are, it was a 9km golf course. The weather held out and we had the best of the day - it was really enjoyable.
The course was in good condition considering the rainfall that they must have had. Came home for an afternoon siesta, then a lovely walk along the beach and an icecream, before settling in for a night of TV.
Tomorrow we are off to Hervey Bay, our home for the next 5 days. We can get there all in one charge, but will probably stop off at Gympie to charge as no Tesla chargers in Hervey Bay.
